We’ve been digging around in Richview’s archives, and have found the following pictures, which we’ve converted from old slides.

Here’s one of the original church property from the west side. You can see the gymnatorium in the background.

Here’s what appears to be the old Snider house being torn down in preparation for construction:

<strike>This looks like it might have been the 25th Anniversary Celebration, from 1984.</strike> Correction: this is from the dedication of the new building from May 9, 1981:

From left to right on the platform: Roy Lawson, Dr. John Walvoord, Dr. Gordon Freeland, Marv Reimer (in pulpit), Paul Allen, Jim Rawson, and Vince Trimmer.

And an older picture of the congregation in the gymnatorium:

You can see more of the old pictures here.

For the past couple of years, we’ve been collecting old films, pictures, and documents from our church’s history. As we celebrate our Fiftieth Anniversary this weekend, it seems like a good time to bring some of them out of the vault and post them here. These are some of the videos we’ve converted from film reels.

One of the key events from our past was the annual Living Christmas Tree. The tradition ended out of safety concerns. Here’s what it looked like years ago:

If you want to get a taste of what a Vacation Bible School was like in the past, this will give you an idea:

Some of us have heard stories about our hockey team. The next couple of videos feature highlights from hockey, and what appears to be some type of celebration:
