We don’t have any sound in our historic films, but we can still hear Richview from the past. Sometime in the 1960s, a group at Richview called “Sounds of Life” put together an album. Here’s what the group looked like:
We’ve ripped the album, and it’s now available for download:

hi,
I was just wondering who the youth pastor for richview baptist was in the 60′s. Did he do the CD or was it the music pastor?
Jenn
Jenn:
Unfortunately, I don’t have the answer to either of your questions.
My dad was the choir director at Richview from shortly after its conception until the late 80′s. This was an unpaid position in those days, but he – Clare Cressman – led the adult and youth choirs as well as leading worship on Sunday morning and Sunday evening service, and at Prayer Meeting on Wednesday evenings.
He put together the album, and took the choir on a tour that included going to Ottawa. I was never in the choir as I was too young at the time. There was never a youth pastor involved in this. You can see dad directing the singing Christmas tree video.
We did have a youth pastor – Paul Allen – for a number of years but I can’t remember what years those were. Paul married my husband and I 29 years ago (1981) in the old sanctuary. We were the last ones to get married in there before construction began.
